Today’s topic is “Why to sell online with Azure Marketplace?”. Yes, you read it correctly. I’m gonna share to with you today is monetizing your product through the Azure marketplace. What’s on the agenda? We’re gonna cover “Why marketplaces matter?” and “What’s in it for you?”.
All right, “Why Azure marketplace?”, because a lot of seller or reseller are looking for their solutions or their applications are leveraging a lot of self-service. When you publish your application or when IT professionals developers are looking, a lot of them are utilizing online applications. What is good for you with this is that you can leverage some brand awareness and promotion with all of the vendors. But the question is? Is anyone listed in your apps or your marketplace has it drove awareness for you. If you have then that’s awesome. But if not, then I’m gonna go through a little bit around the two different storefronts.
Microsoft’s cloud marketplace has two storefronts. One is an Azure marketplace, this is catered to I.T. professionals and developers. You’ll gonna find more from here IAS and past solutions that are more of SAS applications. It is a little bit of a gray line, you will find SAS applications as your marketplace and IAS as an app source. But to give you some kind of a differentiation those are the two different storefronts. When you publish to the marketplace you can also do applications and consulting services. That is one key differentiator with Microsoft. You can have applications that are geared toward IT professionals. But then if you also have a consulting service, this is also something that you can monetize through app source and azure marketplace. Now once you’re ready to go to market, we will be going to market program, this program is really for three different things. One is to support you in all your stages of go to market, so when you’re driving top-of-the-funnel awareness, middle the frontal demand gen, and then closing. Which has multiple market benefits across all those sales stages. The second is simplifying the discovery of the benefits. Most of us would want a one-stop-shop to find all things and everything has Microsoft to offer. The OCP or one commercial partner program that goes to market programs within the partner center can consolidate everything. So you don’t have to go everywhere for everything it’s one consolidated shop, and then last but not least providing flexibility. Picking what go-to-market benefits you have. Another thing is Azure marketplace will give you a list of optimization and social amplification. When promoting and having that joint awareness will help you go to market in terms of the awareness perspective.
Ok, the next question is… “How do you actually publish?”, “What should you do?”, “What types of solutions are available?”. The three steps, it’s a couple more than that, each one of these has a few steps along the way. But the first and foremost opportunity is you become a Microsoft Partner. When you sign up for a Microsoft partner ID and then you sign up to become a marketplace publisher this is to get a publisher profile information about your organization payout information. When you do that the Microsoft can make sure that you receive the revenue generated by your application or your service. Then as you go through the publishing process Microsoft goes through and does a review. Microsoft can make sure of the high-quality offerings in the marketplace. This means things like making sure it’s not malware, not malicious, not inappropriate content, they help to make sure that the content around the marketing, the description logos, images, all of these are gonna show up optimally in the marketplace. Then we make sure that the offering appears to the right audience at the right time in the right place. With Azure marketplace, you can guarantee that your product and investment will produce the best result than what you expect. Since the Microsoft Azure Marketplace has a lot of to offer and service. Which you can see the difference between other types of online market solutions. For example, with Azure, you can go to market side-by-side which allow you, a seller or reseller that offer product or services to process based on how you configure your store. They can even handle or organize massive enterprise sales and consolidated them into single publishing.
